IGP Cité de Carcassonne

Veritable witness of more than 2000 years of history and the jewel of the Languedoc-Roussillon, the city of Carcassonne is classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Each year, it fascinates millions of tourists from every continent.

From the beginning, it occupied a strategic position between the Mediterranean, cradle of our culture, and the Atlantic. It still holds that distinction today.

Since the era of the Roman Empire, Carcassone has shone from the heart of our vineyards. Our wines are the privileged ambassadors of this magical, dreamy city.

Our land, situated in the West of the Languedoc and the Aude department, extends principally along the hillsides that frame it, in a radius of 20 km around the city of Carcassonne.

Our vineyard benefits from its climate with two alternating winds: the Marin, the hot and humid air of the Mediterranean, and the Cers, the dry and temperate wind of the Atlantic. This harmony allows us to create the fresh, fruity, elegant, and balanced wines typical of our area.

An astounding drive unites our wine-makers, which, thanks to their wines, communicates the passion that moves them. The pride of being the only ones to produce the wines of Carcassonne, the beacon of the Languedoc, goes hand in hand with a requirement: quality expertise, respect for the land, and authenticity to aim for excellence.
